The Bed and Breakfast business was started by Eileen Hurley in 1958 in the old
family farmhouse with husband Thomas who had a small dairy farm. In 1968 they built
a bungalow to upgrade the accommodation which was shortly afterwards approved by
Bord Failte. In 1988 this bungalow was extended and upgraded again. It was
designed by son Martin with comfort and style in mind.
Most bedrooms are en suite and are decorated with style and some high quality
furniture. The rooms are spacious, with that inviting look which he created.
Guests are invited to use the sitting room, which has tea/coffee making facilities.
Good food goes with good company. Each day begins with a hearty Irish breakfast
prepared by Eileen and daughter Mary who manages the farmhouse. It is approved by
the Irish Tourist Board and is AA recommended with a 3 diamond rating. It also has
been recommended in many other guide books and magazines over the years.
